Still lake
On the way home from a kid drop off I stopped to take a look at the lake. The water level is down a lot from usual. We have a lot of rain in the near forecast so it will likely come up some. But for tonight it was calm and peaceful.

Today has been a rainy dreary kind of day. Took a bit of time to sit by the window listening to the rain with a good coffee.

Hay across the field
I’ve always liked how hay bales look resting in the fields this time of year. I would have liked to have them more in the foreground but there will be more fields throughout the autumn.

Step into the harbour
My oldest son turned 13 today. Part of his day involved going into Halifax for some treats which we ate on the waterfront. The weather was rainy and a bit gloomy so it made the area much quieter then usual. These steps are still pretty new and a cool public attraction. It was nice to…

Morning marsh walk
The three year old and I went for a walk around the Miners Marsh trail today. It was fairly quiet with cooler temperatures. We just took our time and it was quite nice.

On the way home after dropping kids off at school I had to stop and look out at the tractor working in the field with Blomidon in the background.

A quick stop on a bike ride with my three year old today to look out through the trees towards the river and marsh land.

Out for a run tonight as the sun was getting low in the sky. Took a quick break at the half way point to take a selfie, sort of.
