    Submarine in the harbour

The weather was rainy and dreary today in Halifax but we had a good time with friends. We also caught a submarine going through Halifax Harbour. I’ve not ever seen that before

  • Scared Heart

    Scared Heart

My son’s team had a basketball tournament this weekend and we played all our games at the Sacred Heart School in Halifax. I had walked and driven past many times but never been inside or paid attention to it at night. This was after a game and it was slightly snowy and rainy.

  • Nighttime Georges Island

    Nighttime Georges Island

The other night we went with another family to the Evergreen festival in Halifax. They have decorations, a market, lots of lights, and other fun things to do outside. It was a beautiful night along the waterfront. While some of the family was going through a light up maze I walked over and got this…

  • Public Garden Gates

With a little time to waste I thought I’d be able to go for a little walk through the Public Gardens tonight. I forgot they close just before dusk and ended up missing the opportunity. The entrance gates are nice, but still would have preferred to be inside.

  • Sea worn tree

My thirteen year old son had his final cross country race today. It was the beautiful Point Pleasant Park with lots of great treed paths and this part which opened up to the harbour. It is also the last day before I head back to work after an extended leave and I was so happy…

  • Georges Island

Looking out to Georges Island in the Halifax Harbour. One day I’d like to visit the island itself as I’ve never been.

  • Step into the harbour

My oldest son turned 13 today. Part of his day involved going into Halifax for some treats which we ate on the waterfront. The weather was rainy and a bit gloomy so it made the area much quieter then usual. These steps are still pretty new and a cool public attraction. It was nice to…
