Annapolis River
My oldest son was at a basketball clinic today in Middleton, NS. While he was there my youngest and I explored the area a bit. My wife told me about a neat park close by and so we went for a walk there.
The trail goes along the Annapolis River. The river, autumn leaves, and the old bridge made for lovely scenery as we killed time. The boy loved finding all the bright red maple leaves on the ground as we went as well.

Rainbow
On our way to take my son to basketball last night there was bright rainbow in the sky. We were running a bit late or I would have stopped to get a better picture along the way. Instead I grabbed this one when we arrived. It wasn’t quite as bright, and not as full as it had been, but still nice.

Playa Del Carmen morning
Yesterday I arrived for a work trip in Playa del Carmen Mexico. This morning some colleagues and I went for a walk on the beach.
Every morning should start this way.

-
Playground view
Went for a bike ride with my little guy to take him to the playground. It feels like a fall day but it is beautiful.
The back of the playground looks out onto some marsh land with a windy river going through it.

-
Fire
The other night we went to the shore and had a fire hanging out with family and friends for a bit.
I find it hard to get a good picture of fire. I tried a bunch of things and this is the best one I took.

Burntcoat Head
It’s been a few years since we went and explored at Burntcoat Head Park. It’s a pretty cool spot. It’s on the Bay of Fundy which is home to the highest tides in the world. At low tide you can go explore the shore and cliff lines.
This picture is of a little island, well it’s an island when the tide is in. When the tide is out you can walk all around and go climb up some of the sides.
You can see a comparison picture of high vs low tide on their website.

Sea cave
This is another picture from our exploring the Ovens a few days ago. Getting down into sea caves was really cool. There was one called Thunder Cave because as the waves come in and enter it really sounds like thunder rolling.
We had a bit of a treat as well because as we explored you can see the Bluenose II out sailing in the distance.

Bluenose II sail
We were out exploring The Ovens sea caves over the weekend and saw the Bluenose II sailing in the background.
We ended up in Lunenburg after and it was in port and we were able to walk the deck. The sail was down but this picture looks down the mainboom.

Web in the grass
We had a lot of rain and wind yesterday but things were calm this morning. I noticed a number of these webs in the front lawn. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed them there before. I wonder if they were keeping them on the ground to avoid the wind?

🐿️ Chipmunk
This is from our walk the other day. I peeked through some trees and saw this little guy having a nibble sitting on a lot.
I wasn’t super close but close enough. He didn’t seem to care at all. Never even looked over towards me.
